THIS WELL RAN CRAFT FAIR WAS A GREAT DAY BUT THERE IS A BIG SHORTAGE OF CRAFT FAIR EVENTS, AND A TOTAL LACK OF SPECIALIST BEAR FAIRS IN NORTHERN IRELAND. THE FEW, OFTEN OVERPRICED CRAFT EVENTS CURRENTLY BEING RAN ARE NOT ALL GOOD AS MANY "CRAFTERS" ARE NOT MAKING HAND MADE GOODS, ARE SELLING BOUGHT ITEMS, AND THERE IS A LACK OF VARIETY WHICH DISAPPOINTS CUSTOMERS.

JULY 3rd and 4th TSX is holding an exhibition of paintings donated by artists including myself at the Basfest in Basildon, Essex, which is the biggest free festival in the UK, so if you can come along please do. The normal attendance is over 40,000 people over the 2 days. It would be great if you could support this cause. Ricky McCarthy (pictured below centre)who spearheaded TSX will be there. Here's your chance to buy one of my artworks and to help a worthy cause.
AUGUST (date to be confirmed) ANNUAL CHILDRENS ART COMPETITION sponsored by myself. GREENISLAND LIBRARY, GLASSILLAN GROVE, GREENISLAND, CARRICKFERGUS. This years competition will be to design a t-shirt. Prizes, as usual, will be Art Materials and Art Books, but there will be a special prize for one overall prizewinner from any age group, which will be to have his/her t-shirt design printed up in a size they can wear! Cool, or what? I just love to encourage children to be creative.
NOVEMBER last two weeks Faces of Africa will be on show in the Museum Arts area in the Heritage Centre, Carrickfergus.
The Belfast Mela, will take place on the 29th August 2010 from 12-6pm at Botanic Gardens and is expected to attract 20,000 people (weather permitting!) FACES OF AFRICA have been invited to the Mela. Check out the video of a previous Mela. A fun filled cultural event indeed!
